Benazir Income Support Program

NADRA is providing facilitation services to BISP, for the National Socio Economic Registry (NSER) through Desk- Based Data Collection Centers, while using Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) approach. NADRA signed the NSER contract for establishment of 341x Temporary Sites & 441 Permanent Sites.

Bio Verification Services for Development Authorities

NADRA provisions a biometric verification solution for processing of sale, purchase and transfer of properties.

Using the system, the family members of the applicant are verified and the relevant members’ data is populated for processing. The aim of the project is to reduce forgery and eliminate illegitimate acts regarding transfer of properties and accurately identifying applicant.

National Identification System

National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) has the honor of transforming the paper based ID management to a state of the art identity with back end data input and reporting. From paper to computerized cards and finally chip based cards with advance security features, NADRA strives to cover maximum population of Pakistan and Pakistanis residing outside of the country.

The issuance is streamlined with a series of scrutiny processes including biometrics and verification. Certificates like Family Registration, Child registration and death certificates can be issued based on this data base.

POC has been introduced in order to provide means to citizens to keep their link with Pakistan in case they have origin and are bound to leave the nationality as certain countries do not allow dual nationality.

In an effort to make personalization identity management accessible, online web based application Pak identity is also available to all Pakistani citizens outside the country.

E-Toll Collection System

To effectively handle the ever increasing traffic volumes and to ease movement of vehicles on the highways, NADRA has developed an e-Toll system across highways in Pakistan.

Under the system, electronic readers installed at the toll plazas, capture details of all incoming vehicle from an RFID chip placed on the windscreen of the car. It eliminates all non-essential and time consuming procedures and makes toll collection in the country error free. The system further ensures reliable financial reconciliation, real time information collection, smooth flow of traffic and above all a cost-effective system.

UNCHR, Afghan National Registration

The project supports in providing all Afghan citizens residing in Pakistan identification cards; enabling them to prove their legal status within Pakistan.

Their Registration was also conducted and made part of the National Database. Government of Pakistan, Government of Afghanistan & UNHCR joined hands to make this project a success.

Civil Registration Management System

NADRA has successfully implemented Civil Registration Management System at the Local Government level in Pakistan. Under this system, the government can register the citizens vital events (Birth,marriage,death).

The system provides up-to-date status reporting facilities for selected events, providing business decision models for strategic decision making in resource allocation, hence enabling better governance.

Temporary Displaced Person (FATA)

In wake of the militancy hit areas of Pakistan due to the operations in tribal areas to eradicate terrorism, a lot of families have been displaced from their home domain. FATA Disaster Management Authority with support of NADRA has verified citizens for the emergency recovery support. The financial aid is being given to all these deserving persons. Eligibility and enrolment is done through NADRA Citizen Database. Furthermore, Biometric Verification for Secure Disbursement of funds reporting mechanism for check and analysis of data is also facilitated in this program.

The following two programs have been introduced to help these people recover and start normal livelihood:

• Child Wellness Grant

Digital Census

For the first time in Pakistan, NADRA proposed a comprehensive “IT Solution” to carry out 7th Population and Household Census of Pakistan, “THE DIGITAL CENSUS”. Span of this activity is covering the whole country, in 628 Tehsils comprising approx. 185,000 Census blocks.

The activity shall be performed using android based smart devices, equipped with android based house listing and enumeration application synchronized with GPS & GIS.
